Throughput of distributed queueing-based LoRa for long-distance communication

Abstract LoRa, due to its advantage of long-range communication capability, is promising for Internet Things (IoT) and space-air-ground communications. However, the conventional MAC protocol used with LoRa classified as an Aloha-based algorithm, which leads drastic decrease in throughput when a huge amount end-devices try access network. To achieve stable high we propose design combine distributed queueing (DQ) in-band-full-duplex (IBFD) technologies. The usage DQ mechanism benefit fast collision resolution, while IBFD-enabled gateway helps reduce heavy control overhead DQ. designs procedure frame structure are discussed detail. outage probability average evaluated under imperfect self-interference cancelation. Also, mathematical programming method developed optimize spreading factor code rate. Numerical results show that our proposal gains extra enhancement 1.83-fold throughput.
